EVENTS

  • Teleconference with Pedro Alvarez, Chairman of Alimport at National Press Club, April 27, 2005.
  • Members visited Cuba in June, 2005, at the invitation of Alimport and met with senior officials to discuss business opportunities.
  • The Association hosted a breakfast with Ricardo Alarcon, President of Cuba's National Assembly, on September 15, 2005, on the occasion of his visit to New York as head of Cuba's delegation to the United Nations General Assembly.
  • The Association co-sponsored of the U.S.-Cuba Energy Summit (www.uscubasummit.org
    ) held in Mexico City, February 2-4, 2006. This gathering brought U.S. energy executives together with their Cuban counterparts for the first time. Other Summits on biotechnology, IT, and travel are under consideration
  • The Association co-sponsored two teleconferences with Rafael Tenreyro, VP of CUPET, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Lafayette, Louisiana.
  • Regional Seminars and Conferences

The U.S.-Cuba Trade Association will hold a series of seminars for business firms about the current legislative and administration issues and actions regarding trade with Cuba, process of doing business in Cuba, the experience thus far and the potential ahead.

Este es un tema donde debieramos insistir mas. Hay miles de gente haciendo y enriqueciendo con Cuba y no solo en los Estados Unidos. El regimen tiene a su vez relaciones mafiosas con otros muchos incluyendo sus empresas registradas en paises como Espana, Canada, Panama, etc, etc. El comercio triangular que realizan comprando en EU y exportando hacia un tercer pais, muchas veces Canada no solo es ilegal sino que bajo su sombrilla "comercial" se realizan multiples actividades en favor del regimen y todo esto ante la mirada indolente de las respectivas autoridades.
