The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic remembers, together with the world’s democratic community, the International Cuba Solidarity Day on May 21, 2008. Its objective is to draw attention to the human rights situation in Cuba and to support the demands for release of all political prisoners.
In this context, Slovak MFA hopes that the Cuban Government will create preconditions for fulfillment of legitimate expectations of all Cubans for democratization of their country and for improvement of their living conditions. Slovak MFA is convinced that the best way to achieve this goal is to release all political prisoners and to begin an open and free dialogue with the civil society and political opposition.
